Pearl Cohen

Pearl Cohen (she/her) is Beam Camp’s Co-Director with Dondo. She works with campers and camper families while Dondo focuses on our staff. Together they will be working to support all of our campers and staff needs this summer with the help of our fabulous leadership team. Pearl was a camper for 15 years beginning in 2005. In 2017, she started working in the kitchen at Beam Camp as the kitchen assistant, and two years ago she became Beam Camp Staff Director. Pearl’s passion for working with kids started at Beam but now carries a life of its own. During the year, she works at an elementary school in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. If Pearl were a sandwich, she would be a tofu Bahn Mi because it is one of the softest sandwiches I’ve ever had and while that sounds like it may be disconcerting, it’s extremely delicious and smothered with mayo which is always great.
